Delilah’s Gentlemen’s Club and Steakhouse in Philadelphia is one of my favorite strip clubs in the city, and they’re celebrating the 23rd anniversary of America’s longest-running exotic dancer competition, Entertainer of the Year, this Wednesday March 25th.
Delilah’s annual Entertainer of the Year event has individual dancers competing for cash and prizes. (Teams of dancers from clubs across America compete in “Delilah’s Diamond G-String Award“ in late summer.)
“Entertainer of the Year is always incredible,” says Delilah’s Jasmine Neisser. “But this year, Delilah’s is going all out—and so are the contestants with some of the most unique shows to date.”
“Entertainer of the Year” begins at 7pm, with select open bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and The World’s Most Beautiful Showgirls on Delilah’s 60-foot center stage. Special guest hosts for the evening will be Christa Dagger and Joey Martini of the award-winning neo-burlesque troupe, the Peek-A-Boo Revue. Among the local celebrity judges this year will be meteorologist, John Bolaris, Ryan Lebon of Philly’s nightclub Down, and Dana Canalichio from Morgan’s Pier.
